  • I´ve been ringing the box office but keep getting an answering machine - is anyone there?
Our box office is staffed at all times during business hours as well as one hour prior to most events presented at the Princess Theatre and Earl Arts Centre. Please leave your contact details and we will endeavour to call you back as soon as possible.

  • How can I book tickets?
Not all events can be booked or purchased over the phone. Please feel free to contact us through the box office or on-line for advice that will best suit your individual requirements.

  • I´ve never been to the venue. How do I pick the best place to sit?
If you are able organise seating over the phone or at the box office counter, our staff may be able to give you a couple of seating options subject to availability.  It is then your decision as to which seats you´d prefer.

  • Why does the box office take my details when I book tickets and what do they do with that information?
When you make a booking we will often ask for your name, address and/or phone number. This information allows Theatre North staff to identify and contact you if an instance arrises to issue an exchange or refund if the performance is postponed or cancelled. We are also then able to re-issue your tickets if they are lost or stolen. General admission tickets are unable to be re-issued.

  • Will I get better seats by booking over the phone, in person or through your website?
All sales, regardless of the method of purchase, work on a real-time next best available basis.    If you have a specific request or any special requirements, please call the box office directly on (03) 6323 3666 and we will do our best to accommodate you.

  • How will I get my tickets if I book online or by phone?
Tickets booked over the phone are held for collection.  You can collect tickets during business hours or one hour prior to the performance.  A postage service by request incurs a $3 postage and handling fee at the time of purchase. This service is not available for all purchases.
If you have booked online your tickets will be mailed directly to you, unless you book within 10 days of the event, at which point they will be held for collection from the box office.

Some tickets may be exchanged to another performance of the same event. Please check with the box office for specific details on the show you have booked for. Conditions and fees will vary.

  • Can I swap my tickets to another show?
Some tickets may be exchanged between different performances of the same event. Please note that any exchange incurs a charge of $2.50 per ticket. Please check with the box office for specific details on the show you have booked for. Conditions and fees will vary.

  • What do I do if my tickets get lost or stolen?

  • Why are there sometimes better seats available closer to the event date?
There is no guarantee that seats will be released closer to the event date. The box office endeavours to offer you the best available seats at the time of booking.

We recommend that patrons arrive at the venue at least 15-20 minutes prior to the start time on your ticket.
